Semi-legendary king of the Britons, who reigned 23 years. After his death, Britain was divided between his three sons, Locrinus, who inherited the main part of Britain, called Loegres; Camber, who inherited Cambria or Wales, and Albanactus, who inherited Albany or Scotland. This is according to The History of the Kings of Britain, by Geoffrey of Monmouth, completed in 1136. This work has long ago been disowned by scholars, as it has many inaccuracies.
